Elexis has served as in-house counsel for both a New York based commercial real estate development and management firm and a Bethesda based REIT.

Elexis specializes in the representation of landlords and tenants in the leasing and purchase and sale of retail and office properties, the drafting and negotiation of service agreements, the creation of entities for business purposes and provides solid corporate governance.

In addition to her commercial real estate and management experience, Elexis also provides pro bono immigration legal services for abused immigrant women through Catholic Charities.

Elexis is a member of the New York, Virginia, Maryland and District of Columbia bar associations, and she earned her Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in Global Law and Technology from Suffolk University Law School, her Juris Doctor (JD) from New England Law, and her Bachelor of Science from American University.

  • Represented a landlord in connection with a 52,000 sf office lease, the largest office transaction in Suffolk County, NY in 2018
  • Negotiated and documented the sale of a portfolio of significant commercial real estate properties in the Northeast, including the purchase and sale agreement, title review and closing
  • Created a variety of operating forms for a buy and hold developer including vendor agreements, master service agreements and an insurance tracking system for day-to-day corporate operations and property management
  • Represented the buyer in connection with the acquisition of a national franchise including drafting and negotiating asset purchase agreements, franchise agreements and lease agreements
  • Assisted a national on-line retailer in the connection with the lease of industrial space for its operations center in the Washington, DC metropolitan area
