Lawrence J. Skok

Larry is an experienced commercial real estate attorney, with a particular expertise in commercial leasing. He has worked in both firm and in-house environments, including for one of the oldest boutique real estate firms in Washington, DC and a publicly traded real estate investment trust. He personally has negotiated thousands of leases representing millions of square feet of space. His experience includes office (on behalf of both landlords and tenants), retail (street, anchor, specialized restaurant) and industrial properties. He also serves as outside general counsel for a number of companies, assisting with shareholder agreements, employment matters, licensing issues and the purchase and sale of businesses.

Larry received a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University and his JD from the West Virginia University College of Law. While he lives and breathes commercial real estate, in his free time he prefers breathing fresh air, be it on a mountain bike or kayak. Larry is also an advocate for persons with special needs, being a multi-past President and long-time board member of CHI Centers, Inc., an agency which provides residential and vocational services to hundreds of adults with developmental disabilities.
